Contour Creative Friday

Here at Studio66, we feel same old routines equal day old ideas. So on Fridays between 3:30 – 5:00 we mix it up with Creative Fridays. This keeps us trying new things, finding inspiration and most importantly playing together as a team.

Today’s theme was Contour Creative Friday. A contour drawing is when you draw while looking at an object, allowing your hands to follow your eyes. You don’t look at the piece of paper or what you’re drawing; no peeking allowed!

As designers, we pay close attention to details, often controlling layout and design from the size of a letter to the space around it. You can imagine how difficult it is for us to not to look at what we’re drawing! However, its a great exercise in training your eye and an excellent stress reliever. Not too mention, what ends up on the piece of paper has everyone rolling in laughter. We recommend trying it with your co-workers or friends!

Here’s a few highlights from our Contour Creative Friday, enjoy!

We are always looking for good creative exercises on Creative Friday, please share any ideas! Or if you’re interested in possibly joining us, let us know that too!
