This month’s bizarre holiday: National Puzzle Day!

Puzzles are a favorite pastime for millions of people, young and old; National Puzzle Day honors puzzles of all size, shape and form. Whether you’re into crosswords, jigsaws, or even a simple word search — doing puzzles is fun! For some, they enjoy the challenge, for others it’s a way to kill time — either way, puzzles keep your mind sharp. Whatever the cause for your interest, spend January 29th doing puzzles…we’ll even get you started.

Created in 1955 as a wallpaper cleaner, Play-Doh, the versitle-bendable-plyable substance quickly took on a new playful form. School teachers everywhere were requesting containers for their classrooms, finding it easier for younger fingers to mold than traditional sculpting clay. Although a happy accident for the creators, they quickly caught on and began adding bright colors to market the product as a child’s toy. The rest, is history!

They say every dog has its day; well, that day has arrived. Friday, June 26th is Take Your Dog To Work Day. Studio66 are big canine fans and will be bringing our companions to work. Come by and meet Allie and Ashes or introduce your pet to us!

This day was created to celebrate man’s best friend and to encourage their adoptions from humane societies and animal shelters. So grab a leash, Fido’s favorite bone and get ready for the office. Golf, as we know it today, is credited to Scottish shephards of the 12th century. To pass the time (and probably the boredom) they hit stones into rabbit holes; thus beginning a trend that spread through Europe first, then the world.

Whether you enjoy a challenging game of 18 holes, or a round of competitive golf — miniature style — get out on April 10th and swing away!

Extraterrestrial Abduction Day!
Keep a wary eye on the sky this March 20th for any unidentified objects lurking behind the clouds. Celebrate this bizarre holiday by sharing your extraterrestrial theories over coffee and by wearing a foil hat to the office – just in case. Or for you non-believers out there, grab some of your favorite alien movies for an out-of-this world marathon. We recommend Independence Day, Signs, or the classic Star Wars Trilogy. Regardless of how you choose to observe the holiday, don’t be fooled – the little green men rarely come in peace.
